Ductless systems perform very much like central air conditioning though, by definition, the warm or cool air does not flow through duct work.
Instead, the outside condensing unit connects to a wall-mounted blower that distributes the air throughout your living space. Each condensing unit, in fact, can effectively heat and cool up to four rooms.
Ductless air is extremely practical for homes without ducts, new additions, sun porches, and other areas of your home that traditional central air conditioning cannot effectively cover.
Ductless (also called mini-split) systems consist of the following:
